When you join a match, the game will notify you if any of your friends are in a match as well. If your friend's name is shown in cyan, that means you are on the same team as your friend.
However, if your friend's name is shown in pink, he/she will be on the enemy team.
This color scheme is also applied when you check the scoreboard during the match.
